Introduction

Live and let live. II (生きて生きる。II, Ikite ikiru II) is the 1st episode of the second season of The Ancient Magus Bride anime.
Synopsis[]
Elias decides to support Chise decision to enroll in College, where she's paired with an antisocial roommate named Lucy Webster. When Chise is going to meet Alice, she encounters a silver-haired student who suddenly faints on the ground in front of her.

Adolf offer Chise chance to enrole in college.
Adolf visits the Elias' House and asks that Chise attend the College. From the get-go, Elias voices his opposition to the proposal, and Adolf mentions that Chise is a prime research subject for containing two curses within her body. He also proposes that Chise take classes with the students there as compensation for her time at the College.
While Chise considers the proposal with Elias, Adolf steps out to allow them to consider it privately. When Elias asks Chise her opinion about the offer, she admits her inadequacy in magical knowledge leads her to do drastic things. Hence, she hopes to learn new things to prevent herself from committing more drastic things and helping others with her newfound magical knowledge. Although Elias admits he still has hesitations, Elias decides to join Chise at College.
Fast forward to a later date, Elias and Chise are greeted by the College President Liza and Adolf. Liza hands Chise a rose from her body and gives a kind word of advice to Chise about her stay there. Once she finishes and leaves, Adolf explains that Chise will be a special student there and Elias will be a visiting instructor in the Magical Department. As Liza walks through a hallway, a man, there asks her opinion of Chise, and she notes it's favorable.
Back to Chise's side, Adolf shows Chise and Elias a map of the school that features the seven locations and their respective floors in each place. Before they receive a tour from Adolf of each place, he takes them to see Alexandra Heath, the College Nurse. Alexandra immediately takes Chise for herself, leaving Aolf and Elias to themselves.

Alexandra takes a complete medical documental assessment of the past incident involving magic that Chise had faced to that point. Chise then asks something.
Switching to Adolf and Elias' side, Adolf mentions how he was surprised that Elias didn't hide in Chise's shadow when they were kicked out of the room. On the other hand, Elias notes that although he biologically doesn't have any organs, recalling the time he was caught by Chise hiding near her startled him and made him tense. Therefore, he thought it best not to do it. In Adolf's opinion, Elias was afraid at the time, which intrigues Elias. It's then that Adolf asks why Elias changed his mind about Chise attending College, which Elias claims he's merely acting as his guard. Adolf mentions that the current balance within the Seven Shields is dying out and should be cautious while protecting Chise. Elias agrees with Adolf's sentiment and thinks about how his Rahab is doing. They're then met by Renfred.
Returning to Chise's side, Alexandra recites Chise's question about, after switching eyeballs with Joseph, she experiences memories that aren't hers, among other things. Curiously, Alexandra asks how many memories Chise has experienced, which she guesstimates a thousand years worth. Chise then catches someone spying on her, but they disappear before she can confront the person.
Although Adolf shows Elias the staff room, he explains to Adolf and Renfred that he'll be commuting instead. Questioning if Renfred hates him, he informs Elias that he isn't the only one he hates, and Adolf proclaims that Renfred has been notoriously misanthropic since his student days. However, Elias comments that Renfred's hatred toward him isn't enough to kill him and abruptly changes the subject about what he should do for class. As it so happens, Adolf had a manual just for the occasion.
On Chise's side, she follows the directions Alexandra gives to her and is met by the cats Olivia, Camelia, Rose Lynn, and their mother Florence, who are the dorm matrons. They then lead Chise to her room, and out of the cats, Chise chooses Rose Lynn.

Chise meet with her roomate, Lucy.
Before entering her room, Chise has anxiety about entering it because she doesn't want to give a wrong impression to her roommate. However, when Chise opens the door to her room, she accidentally slams it in her roommate's face. After settling things between them, the roommate introduces herself as Lucy Webster. Lucy explains the basic rules and a bit about herself before returning to bed.

Chise catch Philomela who suddenly fall.
Putting on her uniform, Chise receives a text from Alice to meet her in the Training Room. Chise is left bewildered when she finds a malaised-looking student on her way there.
