Episode 19: Any port in a storm.

Adolf, Tory, and Renfred seek Elias' help concerning kidnapped young dragons. Initially, Elias refuses, but Chise convinces him to do it. During the auction, Chise gets help from a mysterious woman. However, things become complicated when the dragon grows and becomes hostile.
Episode 20: You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.

During the auction, the dragon there escapes, and left with no other alternative to stop it, Chise absorbs its magical energy. By doing this, Chise's left arm contracts what's called a Dragon's Curse and although she accepts it, Elias isn't too pleased by it himself. However, the mysterious woman from the auction visits Chise hoping to collect the payment Chise promised her, but instead tries to heal her arm, only to fail. Intrigued by Chise, Marielle asks her to join her coven, claiming there's a chance someone there would be able to help her, and Chise considers it.
Episode 21: Necessity has no law.

Elias and Chise visit the witch's coven thanks to the invitation they received from Marielle. They had hoped that they may be able to cure Chise of her condition; however, the high priestess Phyllis admits even they can't and reveals she, too, is also suffering from a debilitating curse. Eventually, Elias kidnaps Stella, who was revealed to be possessed by Joesph, and later makes a deal with Chise in exchange for Stella's safety.
Episode 22: As you sow, so shall you reap.

Accepting Joseph's deal to have her cursed arm transferred to him, Chise trades her left eye with his. By doing this, Joseph puts Chise in a deep sleep to have her avoid waking up as her curse transfers over to him. During this time, Chise relives the moments when she was still with her family until the day it all fell apart.
Episode 23: Nothing seek, nothing find.

In his grotesque, monstrous form, a desperate and disconcerted Elias wanders around until he's stopped and helped by Titania to locate Chise. On her side, Chise witnesses the memories of Joseph and how he first found and later merged with the man known as Cartaphilus.
Episode 24: Live and let live.

The final confrontation between Chise and Joseph is near, where the two settle the score between each other, and Joseph is put to rest by Chise.
