Introduction
|
The Boy From the West and the Knight of the Blue Storm: Part 3 (西の少年と青嵐の騎士：後篇, Nishi no Shōnen to Seiran no Kishi: Kōhen) is the third and final original animation DVD of The Ancient Magus' Bride: The Boy from the West and the Knight of the Blue Storm.
Summary[]
Evan finally reunites with the Wild Hunt and is joined by an entranced Gabe, who later realizes the life of the Wild Hunt isn't actually for him.
Plot Overview[]
A dream featuring a young Gabriel and his mother reading the book that he told Evan about and watches as he exits the room they were in. Gabe tries to chase after Evan, only to be stopped by his mother.
Awakening in Chise's room, Elias informs Gabe that dinner is ready, and Chise asks him if he's alright. Later, Gabe enjoys dinner made by Silver Lady and learns that Ruth can switch between a human and dog form. Before they leave to assist Evan in reuniting with the Wild Hunt, Gabe decides to talk with him.
Outside, Evan is met by Gabe, who has his inhaler returned to him and requests that Evan call him "Gabe" instead of "friend". They then have a heart-to-heart about Evan's purpose, which upsets Gabe. Elias, Chise, and Ruth then meet them and head out to the rock pillar soon after.
Evan blows his horn at the rock pillar, summoning the Wild Hunt to his side. Reunited with the Hunt, Gabe passes through the purple fog that permeates from the ground and expresses interest in following them. Once the Wild Hunt leaves, Chise riding on Elias, pursues them. Chise's first attempt to rescue Gabe fails, and despite Elias' dissuasion, she insists they continue trying.
On Gabe's side, he points out various places that he is familiar with, but one of the places makes him pause as it is the hospital where his mother worked. Spotting her and looking at his inhaler made Gabe snap out of the Wild Hunt's trance, and Chise rescues Gabe after he realizes that being part of the Wild Hunt isn't for him.
Down on the ground, Chise has a heart-to-heart with Gabe that's interrupted by Elias, who asks about Chise's condition. They later return Gabe home, where he immediately heads into his room, plops into his bed, and says he's home.
The next day, Oberon, Titania, and Spriggan admire a sprouting from a mossy a tree stump. At Elias' House, a dead deer is left by their entrance, presumed to be an offering by the Wild Hunt. Elsewhere, Gabe is dropped off at school by his parents and is seen wearing his inhaler. The Rock Pillar is shown with the rock that Gabe once had reattached the pillar.
Eventually, Chise receives and shows off the uniform from the College to Elias and company, all of who think Chise looks lovely in it.
